Carl Schultz graduated in 1992 from Delft University of Technology, faculty Chemical Engineering and Material Science, specialisation Bioprocess technology. After a short stint with DSM in Delft, Schultz joined Paques (www.paques.nl) in 1993.
In his lecture, Schultz will introduce the company Paques, an environmental biotechnology company from Balk, Friesland. He will explain how the innovation driven company developed from a one-man business into a world-wide leading company in the field of biological wastewater and gas treatment with operations in Europe, China, India, North America, Latin America and South East Asia. Furthermore some technologies and future developments will be presented. Schultz will conclude his lecture with presenting two initiatives in which Paques is closely involved: BeStart (www.bestart.nl) and the BioBizz hub (www.biobizzhub.com). These two initiatives in the north of the Netherlands help cleantech and watertech startups and scale-ups to accelerate their success
