BASF Nederland B.V. Resins & Additives in Heerenveen we develop and produce water-based resins and dispersions for the printing ink and coatings industry. We also make high-quality additives used in the printing ink, coating, electronic, materials and plastics industries.
The majority of water-based (and thus environmentally and food-safe) polymer products are used in durable inks for food packaging. This, for example, preserves the color longer and has less impact on the environment. We also make high-quality additives that optimize the color and gloss of paint, among other things.
Heerenveen is also home to the Printing & Packaging expertise center. This means that the knowledge and experience in the field of printing and packaging for the relevant technical and industrial areas are gathered in one place.
