Dear members,

Have you always wondered how the world of chemistry came to be like it is now? Or would you like to know a bit more about the history of chemistry? Then this guest lecture is for you!

On Friday the 27th of Februari from 15:00 to 17:00, Rob van den Berg will come to Groningen to tell us about the works of Jacobus Henricus van ‘t Hoff, the first ever Nobel laureate in Chemistry, and also a dutchman. Rob van den Berg did his PhD on the life and work of Jacobus Henricus van ‘t Hoff, so there is no better person to tell us all about it.
Jacobus Henricus van ‘t Hoff is one of the most influential chemists of the 19th century, setting the groundwork for stereochemistry and being widely regarded as one of the founders of the physical chemistry discipline.

We hope to see you there!
