Dear Members,
On Tuesday the 24th of May we are going on a trip again! This time we will visit Aldel in Delfzijl. Aldel is the only smelter in the Netherlands operating the Hall-Herault primary aluminum production process, and creates high quality aluminum alloys.
If you’re following the Electro-Chemistry course, it’s even more interesting for you, since Aldel had both a smelter and electrolysis process involved in their overall process. This gives you a unique opportunity to see what everything you’re learning about looks like in real life!
We will visit their site on the 24th of May and leave from Zernike at 9.
