Programme

The FID will take place on the 1st of September from 9:00 to ~15:35 at Nijenborgh 4 on Zernike campus. 


The schedule of the FID morning program will be as followed:

9:00 - 9:30 - Registration. To check which students are present.
9:30 - 9:50 - Introduction to the FID.
9:50 - 10:10 - General information about the program of chemistry/chemical engineering's bachelor's degree.
10:10 - 10:40 - Guest lecture by Wesley Browne.
10:40 - 11:00 - Coping with teaching labs by Iwan Merkelijn
11:00 - 11:10 - Break (with coffee, tea and snacks)
11:10 - 11:40 - Guest lecture by Ranjita Bose. 
11:40 - 11:50 - The first-year experience

After 12:00 the afternoon program starts. In the afternoon program you will have your first mentor meeting, get a tour around campus, get a tour of the laboratories that you will be working in this year, have a lab coat and goggle fitting, get an introduction to the KNCV (royal dutch chemistry association) and have an introduction/registration of the bachelor degree's study association: De Chemische Binding (CB for short).


The provisional programme for the introduction camp is as follows:


Friday, 1st of September:
16:15 - Busses arrive to Nijenborgh 4
17:30 - Arrival at the location
18:15 - Introduction to the camp and activity

19:00 - Dinner
20:30 - Activity
00:00 - Time to sleep


Saturday, 2nd of September:
8:00 - Wake up
8:30 - Breakfast
10:00 - Activity
12:00 - Lunch
13:30 -  Activity
15:00 - Introduction to Committees
18:30 - Dinner
20:00 - Activity
22:00 - Party
3:00 - Time to sleep


Sunday, 3rd of September:
9:00 - Wake up
10:00 - Breakfast
11:00 - Activity
13:00 - Lunch
14:15 - Return bus arrives


As we leave right after the FID, you should bring your baggage with you in the morning. There will be a separate room for you to leave it for the day.
