SYMPOSIUM 2023 - Molecules that Matter

Hello lovely people,

The year's most exciting and educative event is back. On Friday, the 13th of October, we are lucky to present this year's CB symposium to you. Our theme that day will be “Molecules that Matter”.

The symposium is an annual CB event during which speakers from all over the field of chemistry inform the audience about their latest research or related topics. After each lecture, participants can ask questions while enjoying a hot beverage. With halfway through the day, there will be free lunch.

This year, the following speakers will visit the symposium (abstracts):

  • Dr. Micheal Lerch - University of Groningen
  • Prof. Alexander Dömling - Palacký University Olomouc
  • Dr. Filip Szczypinski - University of Liverpool
  • Dr. Fabian Eisenreich - Eindhoven University of Technology
  • Nynke Ligtenberg & Dr. Adrian Apetri - Johnson&Johnson

This day will be led by our chairman, who this year is our very own Dr. Kasia Tych. She is an assistant professor in single-molecule biochemistry but most people might recognise her from the course Physical Chemistry 1.

The symposium is scheduled for the whole day on Friday, the 13th of October in hall 5161.0151 in Bernoulliborg. The full programme can be found here. The tickets are free for members and cost €5 for non-members.

We hope to be lucky and see you there!
