De Chemische Binding

 

This year we have organized a career day for you with the theme “Balancing Reactions in Life and Lab”. During the Career Day, our speakers will talk about all kinds of challenges that they might have encountered and you might have to balance in certain career paths.

For this, we invited speakers from academia and industry in all kinds of phases in their career.

Our speakers during the Career Day will be:

• Nikola Loncar: Obtained his PhD at the University of Belgrade and stayed in Belgrade as Associate Researcher. He then came to Groningen for his Postdoctoral research in Marco Fraaije’s group 2 times. Next to other activities, he is Co-founder together with Marco Fraaije and CEO of Gecco Biotechnology.
• Adri Minnaard: After obtaining the PhD cum laude in Wageningen in 1997, he came to Groningen and since 2009 he is a full professor for Bio-organic Chemistry at our university. He was also the head of the Stratingh institute from 2016 to 2021. 
• Lisl Miedema: Recently graduated from the master Chemical Engineering in Groningen. After her internship at Huntsman Holland in Rotterdam, she decided to stay there and is working there for over a month.
• Ronald Hage: Received his PhD at the University of Leiden, and afterwards worked for Unilever for almost 20 years. Shortly after, he started working for WeylChem Catexel which he does until now. Furthermore, he is also Honorary Professor at the RUG since 2019. 

Afterwards we will have a panel session where you can ask your questions that might have come up.
