De Chemische Binding

The first excursion of the new year will be to Senbis Polymer Innovations B.V., a privately owned company that supports its customers with applied polymer research. They specialise in (multifilament) yarns, monofilaments (e.g. for 3D-printing), fibres and non-wovens. Besides creating polymers, Senbis also has a lab that is equipped to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of polymers. If you will follow the course Macromolecular Chemistry this is an especially interesting excursion! Furthermore it is a good excursion for anyone studying or considering studying chemical engineering or polymer chemistry.

The excursion will begin at 11:00 in Emmen: to get there on time we will meet at the central station (outside the Albert Heijn To Go) at 09:15. We will be back at around 14:30. Please note that we will travel by bus, so if you have an OV card with weekend travel make sure you have enough credit. If you do not have an OV card please ensure you take enough cash with you (€10 for a day pass). Also make sure you take lunch with you!
