Welcome dear first years!
The FID is a mandatory part of getting enrolled into the first year of the chemistry or chemical engineering program.
The FID will take place from 9:25 to 16:30 and the registration will be at Nijenborgh 4 at Zernike campus (the first building on the right as you enter the campus).
In the first half of the day the
there will be important lectures until the lunch.
1. Registration (9:25 to 9:55)
2. Introduction FID (9:55 to 10:10)
3. Confidential persons information (by Ivan 10:10 to 10:25)
4. Break (10:25 to 10:45)
5. Guest lecture by Wesley Browne (by program director Wes Browne 10:45 to 11:10)
6. Guest lecture by Ranjita Bose (by other program director Ranjita Bose 11:10 to 11:25)
7. When to see the study advisor (by Alwin Hartman 11:25 to 11:40)
8. First year experience (11:40 to 11:55)
During the lunch you will meet your mentors and mentor groups. You will go on a tour of the campus, be introduced to the chemische binding and the KNCV (royal dutch chemistry association), fit and order a lab coat and glasses and will see the labs.
After the FID the Introduction Camp will start, so if you signed up, dont forget to bring your luggage to the FID in the morning!
